Save Money When You Move

Invite family and friends to help you load the truck. First load all the boxes onto the truck. Try to build a wall by stacking the boxes. If possible, use the same size boxes. You can stack the boxes to the ceiling. Next load all the furniture --- beds, desks, chairs and couches --- onto the truck. Try to use one side of the truck. Make sure everything is secure by tying items to the side of the truck. Cover all the furniture with blankets. Include your mattresses and box springs.Drink water and take breaks. Moving is very hard work and you will need energy to unpack the truck.

Also, play some nice music on the radio to make the time go faster. Apples, oranges and peaches are also a good idea to have on hand. Now add all the smaller items in spaces that still exist. Visualize the remaining pieces and where they can fit. Place smaller items inside bigger ones. Pack everything tightly. I recommend that all glass and fragile pieces stay off the truck. If you have a car, place these items inside the car.

Fragile items will break on the truck so you have been warned. Make sure that everything is secure and covered. Close the truck and lock it. Clean up all the supplies and drive to your destination. Thank you family and friends for helping.
