Turn on your computer and connect to the internet. Go to the paypal site and follow the instructions to start an account. This will allow you an easy way to collect money -alternatively some companies will cut you a check. You will also need an email address ready -I recommend starting a separate email account for your blog writing adventures. Now, there are a variety of ways to go about blogging for money. So, take a moment to decide what type of writing you would like to do. If you want to write how-to's such as this one you are currently reading, sign up with this site (ehow) -join the writer's compensation plan and start writing. It takes a while for money to start coming in, but once you've written alot of them (blogs or articles), the money will begin growing. The variety of 'how to's' are endless -check my other articles for more examples and ideas.
You could also write blogs on other websites such as: blogger.com, squidoo.com, or xomba.com.On the other hand you could write blogs for other sites and get paid upfront for your writing if it gets accepted. Check out sites like www.demandmedia.com, associatedcontent.com, or payperpost.com Next, consider writing product or service reviews. Yet again, there are a variety of ways to go about doing this. One method of doing this is to go to the clickbank site, join and start an account, pick a product and then go back to your blog account and write a review on the product you chose. Clickbank will provide you with instructions as far as installing a link in your blog to sell the chosen product. As an affiliate you will make money any time your link leads to a purchase. I do not recommend trying to sell your product, but rather give your honest opinion and/ or experience and offer the link. This often yields better results. Moving on, yet another step to make money blogging is to write for the sake of entertainment, and of course the more popular your topics or keywords are the better your result often are. However, on the other hand, writing unusual or niche topics can yield just as good -if not better results. By using ad programs such as Adsense, adbright, kontera you can earn money through affiliate sales, link clicks, or impressions (when someone only views the page.) At first you may just wish to experiment with a few topics you enjoy writing about and monitor your results. Again using a blogging site or for even more profits and control -purchase your own domain/ website and blog from there. Yet another step towards earning some good income with your blog writing: self promotion! By dropping blogs wherever you can, you direct traffic your own way and make yourself more money in the process. For instance, writing a blog that catches someone's interest and then direct them to your website for even more great stuff. In which case you would likely recieve advertising money from the initial blog as well as the traffic to the ads on your website.
