Clean a Camera

Clean the inside of your camera by opening the back and then blowing the dust out with a can of compressed air, or with a bulb tool that blows air when you squeeze. Clean the lens by blowing any dust off with compressed air. Use a special lens cleaner and lens cloth to thoroughly clean the surface.

Wet a cloth and wring out as much water as possible. Use this cloth to clean dirt off the camera casing, making sure no water seeps into the camera's interior. Use a dry soft-bristle toothbrush to clean out the crevices of your camera's casing. Rub dirty battery contacts with a pencil eraser.
